There’s some brutal stuff here, including a few motorcycle riders who are almost certainly dead. But there’s also some good defensive driving, and a fair amount of bad Russian pop music, as you’d expect. They should show videos like this in driving school, if they don’t already. You can be my 15-year-old will be watching this with me.

That one guy was unfazed by having his arm run over by a van.

I’m surprised at how few of these were hit and runs.

The people falling of bicycles were nice pallet cleansers, no one dying (though maybe wear a helmet guys?)

Similarly I’m glad all the doggies seemed to be ok.

Shouldn’t these have better quality video? 1080p dashcams are cheap these days.

I can never figure out how they have so little traction that they can get their cars in some of these ridiculous slides. Are they running on four bald tires with zero driving skill and totally unaware of this fact? Is drugs or alcohol involved in most of these? It’s just boggling my mind. Most of these are FWD cars can barely move under their own power, it’s not like this is some kind of Mustang leaving C&C type thing.

I’ve seen some crazy shit when in developing nations, but they all seemed to be fully aware of their risky behaviors, leaving a certain amount of margin for error. We’re talking single car accidents on deserted roads and quite a few that would have been single car accidents had there not been other cars present.

That was freaking terrifying. I thought it was some kind of smashed garbage scowl at first before it got close enough to realize it was the rear of a truck. That car is so freaking lucky.

There are plenty of similar videos from the US, they’re just not compiled as much because dash cams are not as popular in the US yet. Russia happens to have bad drivers and a lot of dash cams, similar to South Korea having a huge number of dash cams (another major source of these videos) even though their drivers are better. For some reason China doesn’t seem to get as much representation as you’d expect. India would have even more/worse videos all the time, but most couldn’t afford a dash cam (and wouldn’t have anything worth protecting with one).

I already have two Aukey DR02 dash cams (one each for my DD cars), so for this one I opted for a Aukey DR02 J , which has a better sensor (though not actually 4K despite the claims). It probably isn’t the best out there, but the bases should exchange between all three and the controls should be the same.

I’ll probably put the new one in one of the DD cars and then have the 3rd swap between the two project cars. Eventually I hope to have one in every car, but it is hard to justify the cost.

I just have mine plugged into a cigarette lighter USB adapter, with the cable routed around the outside of the windshield. Have been meaning to try a fuse tap to usb adapter, but haven’t gotten around to it.

Have you seen this one from Dearborn, MI? What you can’t see in this video is that the guy without the camera has a semi-auto rifle around his neck painted in desert camo (might have been an AK, not sure), he’s wearing a black balaclava that covers his face and he’s wearing dark sunglasses and body armor. The “journalist” filming is wearing some sort of Arab headdress and is armed with a pistol. And they expect the police to welcome them with milk and cookies? They’re lucky the cops didn’t just shoot them dead. Go ahead; exercise your 2A rights. Just don’t be such assholes about it.

I get inexplicably angry the more I watch these. It’s always the Russians.

I dunno if there’s just more videos from over there because they statistically have more dashcams-per-person, or is that place really such a hellhole that every first, second and third dashcam crash video is Russian.

From what I understand, everybody in Russia has a dash cam because of rampant insurance fraud. With so many cameras out there recording, you’re bound to catch more crashes.
